Your blog's landing page — every article as a card, newest first. The most recent post can lead as a featured hero, shoppers can filter by tag with one tap, and a list/grid toggle lets them read the way they prefer.

Each card shows the article image, title, a short excerpt, the date, and — if you want them — an author chip and an estimated reading time.

There's also a niche featured slot: a small editorial band you can drop above the cards, with five styles to match your store — process steps, care-guide chips, a planting calendar, a spec table, or an ingredient spotlight.

Try it

Pick a preset to see its style, then change the settings and watch the preview update. Use the screen-size buttons and the light/dark toggle in the preview header to check phones and dark mode. The grid/list buttons in the preview are the real storefront toggle — click them.

How it works

The blog page is one section on the blog template. It renders the page title, the tag-chip filter row (built automatically from every tag on your articles), the view toolbar, the optional featured hero, any niche featured slot blocks, and then the card grid — 12 articles per page with pagination below.

Featured hero — the newest article, shown large (image beside text on desktop, stacked on phones). It appears only on the first page and only when no tag filter is active, so a filtered list never leads with an off-topic post.
Tag chips — one chip per tag, plus All. The active chip is highlighted; on a tag page a "Posts tagged" heading confirms the filter.
List/grid toggle — shoppers can switch views; their choice is remembered for the visit (your Default view setting decides what they see first).
Reading time — estimated from the article length (about 200 words a minute).
Author chip — the author's avatar (or their initials) and name on each card.

Section settings

Color scheme	Grounds the whole page in one of your color schemes — cards, chips, and hero stay legible.
Show featured article hero	Leads the first page with the newest article, large. Off = the grid starts immediately.
Show author chip	Shows the author's avatar-and-name chip in each card's meta line.
Show reading time	Shows the "X min read" estimate in each card's meta line.
Default view	Grid or List — what shoppers see before they touch the toggle.

Niche featured slot (block)

Add the block, pick a Variant, and fill in only the fields that variant uses — the rest are ignored. Leave Heading blank to use the built-in one.

Presets

The same section ships in all five presets; the type, chips, and demo content change with the preset:

Uisce	Coastal-editorial journal skin: a waterline seam under the page title, a frosted meta capsule on the hero, sea-glass active chips, and a waterline underline that grows under card titles on hover. Demo voice: the "Project journal" (process stories).

Talamh	Clean base listing + the planting-calendar slot (the current season's tip).
Tine	Clean base listing + the how-to spec table slot ("Quick specs").
Neart	Clean base listing + the ingredient-spotlight slot ("Active ingredients").

Responsive & accessibility

Grid adapts by width — one column on phones, then more as the screen widens, with cards never squeezed below a readable width; list view keeps image-beside-text at every size.
Hero stacks on phones — image above text below about 1024 px.
Tag chips are real links — they work without JavaScript, carry a 44 px tap target, and support Arrow-key navigation along the row.
Toggle buttons announce state — aria-pressed updates as shoppers switch views; the group is labelled for screen readers.
Meta text clears WCAG AA contrast on every scheme, including the muted excerpt and date.
Author initials fall back automatically when no avatar image is set.
Right-to-left ready — chips, cards, and the hero flow correctly in RTL languages.
Reduced motion respected — the card image zoom and the Uisce underline apply without animation when the shopper prefers reduced motion.

Tips

Write a one-sentence excerpt for every article — the card clamps at three lines, so front-load the point.
Keep tags to a handful of stable topics; the chip row is a navigation surface, not a keyword dump.
Use the niche slot for evergreen guidance (your process, this season's jobs, key ingredients) — it stays put while articles rotate beneath it.
Set 3:2-ish article images; the cards crop to that ratio, so consistent framing makes the grid look curated.
Leave Show featured article hero on — a strong lead image sells the whole page.
